"En Français” (s’il vous plaît) is Pomplamoose’s very first French record AND our first attempt at pressing vinyl! We made this album with John Schroeder and a bunch of other SUPER talented musicians. It’s fun, sentimental and jazzy (but not in a bad way). Songs include such classics as Joe Dassin’s “Les Champs-Elysées”, Edith Piaf’s “Sous le Ciel de Paris,” Georges Brassens’ ”Je me suis fait tout petit,” Django Reinhardt’s “Dark Eyes” and ”Nuages.” (Ça fait très classe.) And then we threw in some more recent tunes like Pink Martini’s ”Sympathique” and Flight of the Concord’s “Foux du Fafa,” because why not? Trust me: you’ll be playing this record on repeat. You should probably get two just to be safe.
So here’s how it works: if we make it to 300 orders by February 2nd we will press vinyl. This is our first time doing vinyl...so we don’t even know if people WANT it. Sure hope they do. Because this is gonna be a good one.
